Summer is right around the corner in Colorado and you might be wondering what Mother Nature may have in store for us during those months. According to the Farmers' Almanac, Colorado is forecasted to have a 'Broiling Wet' summer.

I do not know about you, but to me, that sounds very unpleasant. Broiling Wet... What does that even mean? Is the Farmers' Almanac saying that it is going to be very hot and very humid? Because that is the feeling I am getting.

While some of the states categorized in the 'Broiling Wet' zone are known for their humid summer months, I think Colorado will bypass the humid days. When it comes to the wet part of the 'Broiling Wet' forecast, the Farmers' Almanac says that parts of the Rockies, Plains, and Midwest could see bouts of heavy precipitation from rain and large thunderstorms.

Overall, the Farmers' Almanac is calling for a warmer-than-normal summer for the majority of the United States. The 'Broiling Wet' forecast covers 10 states. Those states include Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, and Colorado.

Other parts of the United States appear to have an unpleasant forecast from the Farmers' Almanac as well.

  • Southwest region - Sizzling Arid
  • Northwest region - Average Temperatures, Dry
  • South Central region - Sweltering Tons of Thunderstorms
  • Ohio Valley region - Warm-to-Hot, Soggy
  • Northeast region - Scorching Dry
  • Southeast region - Oppressive, Showery, and Thundery

The forecast for the Farmers' Almanac sounds like so much fun this year.
