Douglas County Teacher Arrested in Littleton on Child Sex Assault Charges

There is supposed to be a baseline level of trust between teachers and their students.

One teacher in the Denver area allegedly violated that trust on multiple occasions.

Arrest Tied to Allegations from Sixth Grader at Roxborough Intermediate

Earlier this week, investigators from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested a teacher from Littleton for two counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust.

49-year-old David Feil has been a teacher at the Douglas County School District since 2014 and most recently worked at Roxborough Intermediate School, according to a report from local news outlets.

School district officials received a tip in March from a sixth grader in Feil's class that broke this story wide open, according to a report from the Denver Post.

This student claimed the teacher had been adding students on social media and video game platforms. He allegedly would send videos on Snapchat of him shirtless, blowing kisses, and other inappropriate messages.

This arrest is in regard to a specific incident in which the teacher allegedly allowed, "a student to sit on his lap while he had an erection and another where he held another child’s buttocks during a conversation," according to the affidavit. 

Affidavit Details Disturbing Physical Interactions with Students

Former students told investigators that Feil would talk to them about pornography and touch them inappropriately, according to reports.

Feil Held Without Bond at Douglas County Detention Facility

Law enforcement officials confirm that he is currently being held in the Douglas County Detention Facility on a no-hold bond.
