It’s Duck Rescue Season in Colorado

Apparently it is duck rescue season in Colorado. Grand Junction Fire Department Station 3 are experts in rescuing animals from storm drains.

Watch as Firefighters Save Nine Ducklings in Grand Junction

First, Grand Junction Fire Department Station 3 posted on social media that they saved a total on nine ducklings from a storm drain.

The video has been going around the internet and has over 25,000 views.

The Fire Department gets the ducks out quickly while the mother watches closely. You can see how relieved and thankful she is to be reunited with all of her ducklings.

Kitten Rescued from a Storm Drain Just One Day Later

The same exact Fire Department made another storm drain rescue happen just a day later.

Just a day later, Grand Junction Fire Department Station 3 worked with good samaritans, the Grand Junction Police Department and animal control to save a black-and-white kitten that was stuck in a storm drain.

The Fire Department posted:

We don’t just rescue ducklings from storm drains… sometimes it’s kittens, too!
