Gas Prices Have Finally Dropped in Colorado
If I said gas prices have been absolutely out of control these past few months, I don’t think anyone would disagree with me. At almost five dollars a gallon, it often leads me to wonder how everyday, normal people (like myself) can possibly fill up their tank and still cover the rest of the household bills. Food has also shot right through the roof! Remember when one hundred dollars could get you a cart filled to the top with fresh fruits, veggies, and solid protein? Those were the days.
But here’s some rather exciting news: Colorado is one of only fifteen states in the United States to see some relief in gas prices. While this is a big step in the right direction, we still have a ways to go before life is actually affordable. But a win is a win!
The 15 states in the USA that have seen a decrees in gas prices
- Colorado
- New Jersey
- Virginia
- Arizona
- California
- North Carolina
- Nevada
- Wisconsin
- Louisiana
- New Mexico
- Texas
- West Virginia
- Georgia
- Rhode Island
So here’s what we’re looking at when it comes to gas price decreases, and honestly, don’t get too excited.
The statewide average in Colorado has dropped about 7 cents, bringing it to $3.767 per gallon. Hey, every little bit helps, right?
Florida saw the biggest drop, with prices falling roughly 17 cents to $4.205 per gallon. In fact, Florida was the only state in the country to see a decrease of more than 10 cents.
On the other end of the spectrum, New Jersey saw one of the smallest decreases, with just 6 cents knocked off.
Here's to a speedy decrease!
