If You Love Your Car Avoid This Colorado Parking Garage
Parking garages (structures) can be frustrating for Colorado drivers: finding a spot, remembering your spot, the paying, etc. There's one garage in Colorado that is known to be even more frustrating.
Many who have used this free parking garage have found out that you kind of "get what you pay for." Imagine the complaints if the city were charging people to use the garage.
If you don't have full coverage or a lot of patience, you may want to park someplace else. It's tough situation for the city, as it would be nearly impossible to re-build the garage.
Loveland, Colorado Parking Garage Has Issues
The Foundry Parking Garage in Downtown Loveland opened in the summer of 2018. It has residential parking for those who live at the Patina Flats apartments at The Foundry and public parking.
If you see a movie at the Metrolux Dine-In Theater, at The Foundry, you'll see a little fee; that fee is paying for the garage. I always thought that was kind of unfair: people that aren't necessarily using the garage are paying for it; but it is what it is.
It seems that ever since the parking garage opened, people have made comments/complaints about aspects of the garage.
- The stalls/spaces are too small/too close together. "You can't get out of your car."
- The corners are too tight to manage. Many have hit the structure trying to move from one level to the next.
- The ceilings aren't high enough. Many truck owners have found that their truck won't fit through.

When Loveland's new Draper Project, at 4th and Lincoln was being introduced. there was talk on how that project's parking garage will learn from the miss-steps associated with The Foundry's garage.
Granted, the garage/structure is fine for smaller cars, and has a great mural on its east and south sides; but you might want to think twice about parking at The Foundry.
