Loveland Colorado’s Sweet Plan for Celebrating Valentine’s Day in 2025

When a town is known around the world for celebrating love, that town better go all out for Valentine's Day, and that's what Loveland does.

For nearly 80 years, Loveland has embraced all things surrounding love: hearts, poems, weddings, community. It's not only a big tourism endeavor for the city, but a way to celebrate Loveland's history.

When times can seem so chaotic, it's fun to open up our hearts for some fun.

What is Loveland, Colorado, Doing for Valentine's Day in 2025?

Having grown up in Loveland, I have a strong affinity for the town and its nearly bombastic way of getting into Valentine's Day, every year. It's not known as "The Sweetheart City" for nothing, that's for sure.

It's not just the Loveland community, or the surrounding Northern Colorado area, that's involved; the whole world is a part of the Valentine Remailing Program, getting their valentines stamped with the yearly stamp (cache) and poem.

Yes, Loveland has hundreds of sculptures throughout the town, but folks can enjoy those all year; the Valentine's Day season, like a first love, is temporary. I

Will Valentine's Day in Loveland for 2025 Include Those 'Streetlight Hearts?'

Over 400 "love note" hearts will adorn streetlights throughout Loveland for the season. They can be a bit distracting as you drive, but they're one-of-a-kind.

I once did a fun "radio bit" where, after Valentine's Day, I interviewed the crew taking down the hearts asking if they had seen any hearts that mentioned someone loving me.

Like, 'Dave, I love You - Millie?'

No.

'Veronica & Dave 4-Ever?'

No.

'Crystal Hearts Dave?'

Nope.
