One Kohl’s and One Macy’s Are Closing in Colorado
Koh's and Macy's are each closing a Colorado location. Soon, we'll have nine Macy's stores and 23 Kohl's stores in Colorado as the companies look to continue growing, while closing underperforming stores.
According to Macy's, by 2026 they will have shuttered 150 stores, while upgrading the 350 others that will be spared. Kohl's is shuttering 27 of their poorer performing stores, as well.

One Macy's and One Kohl's in Colorado Slated for Closure
It's a shame, to me, that we just seem to become numb to news of a business location closing. People will be losing jobs; we (I) should be more upset. Yet, it's a "more of the same" kind of feeling.
Apparently, Macy's has been testing out improving customer service and such at 50 stores and has seen success, so they're moving forward with their plan to do that to 350 better-performing stores, and simply closing 150 lesser-performing ones, including one in Colorado.

Kohl's, which has over 1,100 stores around the world, will be shuttering about 3% of their stores, "to support the health and future of our business for our customers and our teams."
I'm a big fan of Kohl's; they have a great selection and good prices; I don't shop at Macy's often, but the one in Loveland is very nice.
