Since the new ownership group took over the Denver Broncos a couple years ago, there's been a lot of talk about what a new stadium might look like but mostly, where it may be.

It's hard to think of the team NOT playing on the site where they've played all our lives, either in the current Empower Field at Mile High or the old Mile High Stadium which was located right next door to where the current stadium sits. In fact, you maybe have seen the scaled down model of the old Mile High in the parking lot on the north side of Empower Field. It's pretty cool.

People have mentioned the possibility that a new Broncos stadium could be built out by Denver International Airport, which seems like a weird location to me.

But now, 9News is reporting that a new location has emerged as a possibility for a stadium, should the team elect to pursue it.

A location down in Lone Tree, about 15 miles south of where the current stadium is and much, much closer to where the Broncos team facility is could be an option.

Other options being discussed include a new location downtown Denver - recommended by an editorial board at the Denver Post - or even staying put in their current home with potential renovations happening in the coming years.
