Former Greeley Steakhouse Becoming Great Wings Joint
Kenny's Steak House in Greeley was around for nearly 30 years at the corner of 10th Street and 35th Avenue, until October of 2024. Three months later, another Colorado-based restaurant announced it will take over the space.
Wing Shack to Add Another Colorado Location at Former Kenny's Spot
Though it's still said that Kenny's Steak House closed its doors, we should feel good that a Colorado-born restaurant chain will take its place. Wing Shack has been in operation since 2004, when the fist one opened in Garden City.
Wing Shack's Windsor location was one of two new locations for the chain in 2012, the other that year was the 65th Street location in Greeley
Wing Shack is a great success story: having a love for chicken wings, coming up with your own unique sauces, opening up on small restaurant. 20+ years later, Wing Shack has a 11 locations in Colorado and one in Cheyenne.
Kenny's Steak House opened as Stampede Steak Ranch when it first opened its doors in 1995

Folks that loved Kenny's Steak House will be eager to see how the restaurant looks once Wing Shack takes over. It was in May of 2023 that Wing Shack moved their Windsor location and took over a space once occupied by STUFT Burger.

According to BizWest, Wing Shack will be closing down their location off of 10th Street and 43rd Avenue in Greeley to move into the former Kenny's Steak House which should open in spring of 2025.

Wing Shack is just one of several restaurant chains that started out in Colorado, which include Chipotle, QDOBA, Smashburger, Good Times, Noodles & Company, Santiago's, and Quiznos.
