
Love IPAs? The Best Colorado Made IPA Has Been Announced
Colorado has a strong (though waning) love of craft beers. While many have closed, there a many more success stories. including one Colorado brewer being noted as having the best IPA in the state.
Colorado Brewers Club Announces First 'Best IPA in Colorado' Winner
According to the Denver Post, even though things aren't as strong as they once were when it comes to the craft beer industry in Colorado, it does still bring $2.5 billion dollars a year into the state's economy. The Colorado Brewers Club decided it was time to celebrate that.
With all the different varieties of craft beers, IPAs do lead the way in popularity. I like IPAs, myself: that 'sting' from a great IPA hits the spot. I don't drink them like I used to, but finding a really good IPA is a treat.

In January of 2025, the Colorado Brewers Guild held its first "Colorado's Brewers Cup" to highlight and commend the great beers that are being made here in The Centennial State.
The Hyatt Regency in Denver hosted the big night, with about half of the Guild participating in the event. The Guild has 300 breweries, total, spread across all reaches of the state.
The Colorado Brewers Guild's mission is to promote, protect, and propel independent craft breweries in the State of Craft Beer through advocacy, community, education, and public awareness.
Amalgam Brewery Wins as Best Standard IPA Made in Colorado
Amalgam Brewery is basically just two guys, Eric Schmidt and Phil Joyce, who started the small batch brewery in 2017. It must feel good to know that Colorado brewers think that your IPA (their Modern West IPA) is the best (among the entries) in Colorado.
The best Hazy IPA went to Living the Dream Brewing and their Trailhead Fog.
