One historic building has been treated with care since the late 19th Century and is home to the oldest organ not just in the state, but in the entire midwest region of the country.
Colorado's Historic Kirk of Highland Church + Oldest Organ
Originally erected in 1890, The Kirk of Highland Church is a magnificent work of architecture that has been standing at its location at 3011 Vallejo Street in downtown Denver all these years later.
The beautiful sandstone brick structure is available to rent to this day and has been the setting for countless weddings over the years.
While the building is magnificent on its own, one of the biggest claims to fame enjoyed by the Kirk of Highland is the organ.
The massive pipe organ at the front of the church was built in 1875 by an outfit known as Anderson and Silsbee, and today, it is considered to be the oldest organ in the Midwest.
There are numerous options when it comes to renting the historic church but wedding planners will typically book the space for nine hours, giving attendees access to the sanctuary, the outdoor patio, and the gallery.
